A LETTER TO ALL KINDRED

A LETTER TO ALL KINDRED

Game Director Craig Hubbard and Producer David Sirland talk about what today’s announcement means to the team and what comes next.

Greetings Kindred and Kine,

We are extremely excited to announce Bloodhunt, Sharkmob’s very first game!

Bloodhunt is a free-to-play, third-person battle royale set in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade, with a focus on unrestricted movement, supernatural abilities, and a mix of ranged and melee combat, taking place in a detailed urban setting.

The Vampire: The Masquerade IP may seem like an unusual choice for a battle royale, but as long-time fans, we were intrigued by the idea of an unfolding conflict involving rival Kindred factions fighting for dominance and Second Inquisition hunters bent on eradicating all vampires, all while trying to maintain the Masquerade.

The Bloodhunt team includes a mix of industry veterans and first-time game developers with a shared commitment to crafting an engaging, inventive, and rewarding experience that we can continue to build on with your input and feedback. We’re really excited to start talking more about the game and what’s to come.

We’re eager to hear from you once you have had a chance to play the game for yourself: what you like, what you don’t, and what you’d like to see in the future. Now more than ever, PVP games depend on a strong relationship between community and developer, and we promise to be receptive, transparent, and collaborative.

The game is currently in its Alpha phase, which means it has all its core game mechanics in place, and the map layout is basically final. We are interested in any thoughts you have about game-play, balance, stability, performance, and overall user experience.

In the upcoming Closed Alpha test, we will make the game available to a limited number of players, starting with a small technical test.

If you’re interested in participating, please sign up for our newsletter on our website. There will be limited availability, but we will be looking at doing a larger test in the near future.

We also have surveys available for you to fill in during the Alpha period, and should you have any questions concerning the game you can contact us on Twitter or Discord or get in touch directly with our community manager.

We’ll do our best to answer what we can at this point.

See you at dusk!

/David & Craig
