Make Music Rights Easier for Content Creators and Streamers

Make Music Rights Easier for Content Creators and Streamers

Recently we gave you a glimpse of the Bloodhunt Original Score which is the background music that you will hear while playing the game, but Bloodhunt will also feature other kinds of music from various artists and genres.

With Bloodhunt, we wanted to find up-and-coming artists. This is so that you can experience fresh new tunes that you likely never have heard before but also to try to create a platform for new artists to showcase their music.

We think that this is going be a very fun way for our players to access new music while artists get exposed to new audiences with their music being a big part of our game.

When we decide to work with an artist, we also require that the music can be used by Bloodhunt content creators and streamers without worrying about copyright claims.

We know that getting copyright strikes is very problematic for streamers and content creators, and we hope that this will make it easier for everyone who wants to create content for our game. As a developer will have more control over the music that appears in our game without having to deal with licensing middlemen.

While Sharkmob and artists work together to ensure that the music is safe to use for both streaming and content creation, please do keep in mind that some of the processes when it comes to copyright claims are automated and beyond our current control. In some cases there might also be bad actors unlawfully claiming a copyright.

We will do our best to combat this, but there might be things like false positives in the copyright detection tools or incorrect copyright claims. As much as we are proactive in countering this, there is always a risk that it could happen anyway.

If it happens, do get in touch with us so that we can do our best to see how we can try to avoid this from happening in the future.

Soon, we will be interviewing the artists and bands that will appear in our game to tell you their story and how their music found its way into Bloodhunt. We can’t wait to share what their music is about. This will be a continuous article series which will evolve alongside the game as we keep building it and adding more songs.

We hope that this news will be welcomed by streamers, content creators and emerging artists alike and we hope that we will be able to help create a smoother way to work with music in games that will be beneficial to all.

Until next time, see you at dusk!
